Abstract:
As engineers we are faced with hundreds of decisions each day that can affect the well-being of others. It includes technical aspects of design, but it also extends to interactions and relationships with our fellow human beings. With the trust of the public’s safety and well-being in our charge, we owe it all to be ethical, fair, honest, kind, and respectful. By acting on principles instead of tasks we help create a better world around us and build lasting relationships. In this presentation we will discuss strategies to promote ethical behavior within our organization, business, and profession.
